Maria DB is not MySQL. However, when MySQL was merged with Oracle, the developers there came out and created Maria DB. So in fact Maria DB works like MySQL, you can access it using MySQL.
We can use the password that we wrote when we first installed Maria db. (ex 123456)
We can manage the DB at the command prompt like this
